Raster export
The Raster tab exports a single selected frame in formats the PDF tab does not cover.
CMYK TIFF
A true CMYK raster file: uncompressed 8-bit, Photometric = Separated, with DPI resolution tags. It opens in Photoshop, Acrobat, and RIP software as a genuine CMYK document. Use it when a shop asks for "a CMYK TIFF" or for raster workflows via the print sheet. CMYK TIFF export is a Pro feature; PNG, JPG, and the vector RGB PDF below are free.
Neutral grays and black convert to pure K, and total ink stays at or under 300%. Uncompressed TIFF is capped around 100 megapixels (roughly A2 at 300 DPI); lower the DPI for bigger sheets.
PNG and JPG with real DPI metadata
Figma's own exports carry no resolution metadata, so a "300 DPI" PNG opens at the wrong physical size everywhere. This tab writes the metadata into the file bytes:
- Name
PNG- Type
- pHYs chunk
- Description
Pixels-per-metre header written into the PNG, so Photoshop and preflight tools read the exact print size.
- Name
JPG- Type
- JFIF density
- Description
Dots-per-inch fields written into the JFIF header, inserted if missing.
Vector RGB PDF
Figma's native vector PDF (1 px = 1 pt, exact physical size) with colors left in RGB. Useful when a print house prefers to do its own color conversion on vector input. For CMYK PDFs, use the PDF tab.
Layers whose names start with the warning symbol (the plugin's guides) are hidden automatically during every export and restored afterwards.
